This person will source stock/non-stock materials that meet our quality standards as well as maintain appropriate inventory levels and supplies to support production. The ideal candidate should be able to develop strategic sourcing processes, manage suppliers, collaborate with internal departments, and ensure supplier purchase orders are delivered on time. We want people who align with and can live our core values: We Say Yes We Hustle We Think Bigger We Keep Promises We Build People Up Job Summary and Job Functions Manage the procurement of all direct and indirect materials/services, including print materials, hardware accessories, and general supplies Work cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, Material Manager, and Project Management on inventory planning and strategic sourcing to optimize delivery time, overall cost, and quality Establish new suppliers and commodities in the ERP system to support both direct and indirect materials Maintain global supplier relationships to ensure that Britten maintains a sustainable competitive advantage throughout the supply chain Drive cost reduction and risk mitigation by leading competitive sourcing, identifying alternative materials, and selecting the most cost-effective transportation methods Manage the purchase order lifecycle by creating, updating, and issuing POs in ERP system after confirming all supplier details (quotes, lead time, quality, and shipping method) Collaborate with suppliers to confirm open order status and expedite back-order materials/services as needed Lead internal cross-functional teams to resolve critical backorders and defective material issues, developing plans to mitigate future recurrences Assist Accounting and Materials Manager with the order receiving process including shipment tracking, invoice/pack slip reconciliation, paperwork collection, and freight cost confirmation Maintain awareness of world markets and material related issues; reduce the impact of supply chain disruptions and escalate challenges to leadership Analyze material usage from Salesforce and ERP system to optimize minimum and maximum inventory levels Support the monthly inventory process, including physical counts, reconciliation of count variances, data entry, and analysis of count accuracy Align with and believe in the company’s core values: We Say Yes, We Hustle, We Think Bigger, We Keep Promises, We Build People Up Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to be exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope of the position.
