Description

Purchasing * Source, evaluate, and select suppliers for materials, components, and services. * Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery of goods. * Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings. * Monitor supplier performance (delivery, quality, responsiveness). * Resolve supply issues, shortages, and discrepancies. * Maintain accurate purchasing records in ERP systems. Planning (Material / Production Planning) * Analyze demand forecasts and create material requirement plans (MRP). * Plan inventory levels to meet production needs while minimizing excess stock. * Coordinate with production, warehouse, and logistics teams on scheduling. * Monitor stock levels and take action to avoid stock outs or overstock. * Adjust plans based on changes in demand, supply disruptions, or production priorities. Supplier & Stakeholder Coordination * Communicate with suppliers regarding delivery schedules and changes. * Collaborate with internal teams (Production, Engineering, QA, Finance). * Support new product introductions and sourcing activities. Reporting & Analysis * Prepare reports on purchasing trends, cost savings, and inventory status. * Analyze data to improve planning accuracy and procurement efficiency. * Support continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain processes. Education * Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. * 2–5 years of relevant experience in purchasing, planning, or supply chain functions (depending on seniority level). * Strong understanding of planning and purchasing item attributes within Oracle ERP system. * Proven negotiation skills with the ability to manage and develop supplier relationships effectively. * Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities. * Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to manage a wide range of detailed and diverse tasks in a fast-paced environment. * Capability to integrate cross-functional knowledge, including manufacturing processes, customer service requirements, accounting principles, product design, and ERP system functionalities. * Due to business needs, proficiency in both English and Mandarin (written and verbal) is preferred.
