ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for an experienced and driven Category Buyer to lead our vision within our Cotton On team in our Womens Cut & Sew Tops category on a 12-month maternity cover contract. You will be responsible for leading the category and working with our Trend team to deliver on big ideas and key lifestyle items that align with our brand DNA and which our customers love- with a focus on shirts, shorts and fleece. You will contribute to department reviews, apply learnings to category decision making and chase growth opportunities to ensure the success and profitability of our brand. You will collaborate with Production and support your Buying team to deliver on products that are in line with category strategies and which are compliant and cost-effective. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • Tertiary qualification / degree in relevant field i.e. Buying • Demonstrated experience working with production, trends and buying teams to achieve strategy visions • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with internal / external stakeholders and support teams. • Will have worked in a leadership role in a significant multi-brand global retailer.
