Description *Now Hiring a Buyer at Diversified Foods and Seasonings* The Buyer will oversee the day-to-day activities to plan, manage, and coordinate all purchasing of ingredients and packaging materials from a cost-effective standpoint needed to meet the changing production and customer demand levels. The Supply Chain Manager will be a key driver in collaborating cross-functionality with key stakeholders in sales, production, suppliers, and the internal supply chain team to improve accuracy and inefficiencies. This position is a key driver in reducing/improving costs by managing inventories, sourcing, demand forecasting, coordinating logistics, analyzing data for process improvement, and financial forecasting. Key Responsibilities: Manage daily purchasing, inventory control, and warehousing activities. Process purchase orders, resolve claims, and ensure alignment with supplier agreements. Monitor and maintain raw material inventory, ensuring FIFO is followed. Develop and execute supply chain strategies for cost reduction and efficiency. Coordinate with the scheduler to ensure timely delivery of materials for production. Negotiate with suppliers and logistics providers for favorable terms. Oversee logistics, including shipment consolidation and managing returns. Monitor supplier performance and support product line transitions and new launches. Requirements Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, management, or related field Certification in supply chain management 5+ years of related experience in the food manufacturing business. Extensive knowledge of supply chain regulations and policies. Deductive reasoning, strong analytical, problem-solving, process development, and decision-making skills. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and relationship-building skills to effectively work, with various people and personalities/team players; able to communicate clearly and effectively to all levels of the organization in person and in writing including training. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software Excellent presentation skills.
