We Are One: For Love | For Diversity | For Change | For Equality | For Kindness | For Freedom | For Unity Against Racism KEY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS ROLE: Product Development and Range Building: To assist the GMM in the development of customer and market focused product collections by keeping a keen eye on the market, competition, current and forthcoming fashion trends. Attend relevant shoe fairs and fashion exhibitions at the request of the Buyer. Actively investigate and propose new product opportunities to the Buyer within the relevant brand or branded market to ensure sales are optimised and brand development is continuous. Product Performance: Manage a comprehensive and accurate delivery schedule, that meets and supports the needs of the business and liaise with the Buyer regarding any late deliveries, cancellation or negotiating suitable discounts. Attend weekly meetings with your Buyer and Merchandiser to review performance of the department and to discuss and agree an action plan regarding sales, margins, stock levels and delivery status. Sustain and develop a close and open working relationship with the Merchandising Team that will ensure in-season trading issues are dealt with promptly and efficiently. Managerial Support Create reports for the Company Management as requested. Deal with the administration and monitor and respond to such correspondence when necessary, particularly in the absence of the Buyer/s. Work alongside the GMM and Merchandise Team in the preparation of seasonal reviews and strategic planning for the forthcoming season Previous Buying experience Background in branded footwear buying is preferred Very organised with strong analytical skills Personable with excellent communication skills Excellent knowledge of products and brands Advanced Microsoft Excel user Competitive basic salary Pension and life assurance Enviable discounts Gym Discounts Summer hours - 3pm Friday Finish Half Day, Pay Day Friday (once per month) RetailTrust support GP Access Sample sales And so much more!
