INTRODUCING THE NATIONAL ARTS CENTRE

The National Arts Centre (NAC) is Canada’s bilingual, multi-disciplinary home for the performing arts. The NAC presents, creates, produces, and co-produces performing arts programming in various streams-the NAC Orchestra, Dance, English Theatre, French Theatre, Indigenous Theatre, and Popular Music and Variety-and nurtures the next generation of audiences and artists from across Canada. The NAC is located on the traditional, unceded, unsurrendered territory of the Anishinabe Algonquin Nation.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• An equivalent combination of education (Bachelor’s degree or College diploma), training and experience may be considered;
• Experience in procurement and purchasing;
• Fluency in both French and English;
• Experience with the Government of Canada’s Tender Management System is an asset;
• Experience with Bonfire eProcurement system is an asset;
• Experience with Excel and MS word is required;
• Excellent communication skills written and oral;
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance;
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.

• Collaborate closely with the Senior Financial Analyst – F&B to enhance and execute the Procurement, Contract Management, and Insurance program related to F&B operations;
• Collaborate with the Procurement team regarding procurement processes, policies, trade agreements and procurement strategies of F&B department;
• Demonstrate proficiency in the Government of Canada’s Tender Management System to effectively facilitate the public procurement processes;
• Purchase materials or other goods and coordinate activities involved with procuring goods and services on behalf of the NAC;
• Assist the procurement team to prepare and review bid requests and proposal and estimate values according to knowledge of market price
