Fortem’s systems are accelerating the safety of the world’s airspace for urban air mobility. Position Summary Reporting to the Supply Chain & Operations Manager, the Buyer will be responsible for supporting the organization’s supply chain needs and ensuring that goods and services required for production are purchased and received in a timely manner. This position will also facilitate the purchase and delivery of internal purchase requisitions. This is a 100% on-site role and US Citizenship is required. Primary Responsibilities · Review MRP messages to determine material requirements for customer orders or forecasted demand · Send RFQs to prequalified suppliers based on material requirements · Review supplier quotes and recommend the best option for purchase · Create and execute purchase orders with suppliers · Review payment requirements with accounting and help facilitate prepayments as needed · Follow-up with suppliers to ensure materials are received according to promised date · Assist with onboarding new suppliers as requested · Support the Engineering Team with new product development for sourcing and delivery of prototype materials · Help with maintaining accurate inventory counts · Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of Fortem Technologies, Inc. Requirements Education or Certification Requirements · Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Management or a related field. Commensurate experience will be considered. · Professional Work Experience: minimum of 1-year direct experience in a Buyer or similar role. Qualifications and Skills · Excellent computer skills using the Microsoft Office Suite tools · Knowledge of how MRP works and ability to navigate in ERP system (Odoo or Global Shop experience a plus)
