Job Description Reporting into the Lead Buyer, as Buyer Home Textiles, you will play a pivotal role in category direction, trading success and curating home textiles that delight our customers. We are seeking a dynamic individual who posses a keen eye for quality, the right product mix and the commercial acumen to drive success in a competitive market. Your key responsibilities are complex and exciting! You will have the opportunity to truly make and influence decisions that create value for our customers and drive commercial results. Your key responsibilities will include: Source, evaluate, and select a diverse range of home textiles Develop and execute comprehensive buying strategies to meet sales targets and stay ahead of market trends. Deep-diving into sales data, analysing trends, and drawing actionable insights. Regularly reporting findings to stakeholders, providing valuable information that shapes our category and business goals Thriving in a cross-functional environment where teamwork is the key to success. Working seamlessly with various departments, from design to marketing, ensuring a cohesive and compelling product offering. Work closely with sourcing and suppliers to meet our customers’ needs Qualifications You’re passionate about your trade and have an innate curiosity for ‘how we can do better’ to provide the best products for our customers. Excellent stakeholder management and communications skills will be essentials to unlock collaboration, teamwork and speed to market to ensure trend and newness in this space. What we’re looking for? Experience in buying/category management within big box retail Genuine passionate and experience in Home textiles/soft furnishings/textiles preferred Private label/own brand experience Strong commercial acumen, negotiation and analytical skills A customer driven focus. The ability to trade utilising promotional activity and advertising to maximum effect Collaborative working style and excellent communicator with strong stakeholder management skills Comfortable and confidence operating in a fast-paced retail environment.
