Our Purchasing Department, based in Brasov, is currently looking for a motivated and results oriented Buyer with good negotiation skills and communication abilities.
As a Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, products, and services necessary. You will play a key role in ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery from our suppliers. In the first year, you will work mainly with indirect purchases and later with components & assembling services (direct purchases).

Required qualifications and experience

  • At least 3-5 years experience in a similar position
  • Experience in electronics supplier management is an advantage
  • Experience in working with large quantities of data
  • English language level – advanced (B2)
  • Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Analytical, numerically astute with strong proven problem-solving abilities
  • Results oriented with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines
  • Commercially and financially aware

Responsibilities

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing process from supplier selection to received goods and record keeping, ensuring that materials and services are sourced in a timely, cost-effective, and high-quality manner. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to support business operations and maintain supply chain efficiency.

More detailed responsibilities

  • Centralizes purchases, launches RFQs, evaluates and selects quotations in accordance with Procurement Policy
  • Prepare and send the Purchase Orders to suppliers and arrange for the forwarding of goods
  • Ensure continuous supply of required goods and communicate any supply problems, to avoid any outages.
  • Prove strong price negotiation skills and assure timely deliveries
  • Make sure to get the best price according to the budget and delivery conditions for the requested product quality
  • Provide analysis on costs, new and existing businesses, and review cost reduction activities
  • Manage the supplier selection, assess, and evaluate suppliers and undertake performance reviews to ensure contract compliance and manage performance improvement activities
  • Participates actively in the negotiation of procurement contracts, evaluates new supplier approach
  • Assure all purchases have the necessary documents according to the legal and internal procedures (contract, offers, order, invoices etc.)
  • Follow-up on orders to make sure that the negotiated conditions are respected; contact suppliers to resolve any price, quality, delivery or invoice issues
  • Build good relationships with current suppliers, research and reach out to new potential suppliers
  • Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions
  • Research and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduce costs where possible
  • Deliver briefs, updates, and reports as and when required and keep them up to date
  • Act as an interface between purchasing and suppliers, internal clients on purchasing processes
