Position Summary: Under the general direction of the Manager, Procurement, this role is responsible for the acquisition of goods and services for the Company’s properties ensuring adherence to the Company’s policies and procedures, this role contributes to ensuring a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. Key Accountabilities: Consults catalogues and other references to obtain prices and specifications Places Purchase Orders (both blanket and regular); tracks orders; liaise with vendors, couriers and customs brokers to maintain on-time delivery schedules Sources and purchases goods and services; provides efficient, value-based recommendations to internal clients Consolidates purchases to leverage buying power Identifies opportunities to reduce costs, add value and/or increase supply chain efficiencies across all operating sites Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership, team members and vendors Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations Prepares purchasing reports on acquisitions, disposals, spoilage, non-received, back- ordered goods, etc. as directed Responds to, resolves or escalates purchasing issues; liaises with Accounts Payable to resolve billing issues Education and Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience is required Post-secondary education experience considered an asset Minimum 4 years of purchasing experience; gaming and hospitality experience an asset Prior experience within hospitality and/or gaming an asset Working towards or completion of Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation an asset Computer literacy in MS Office; (Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint) required Experience with JDE Oracle and Raindrop or a similar ERP required Able to work independently and as part of a diverse team Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication Ability to multi-task and prioritize Ability to maintain confidential information Who we are!
