Summary of Position Do you love connecting the dots between supply, demand, and strategy to keep a company running efficiently? We are seeking a Buyer/Planner to join our team! As a key member of the Operations team, the Buyer/Planner is a dual-purpose supply chain role responsible for both the procurement of materials and the planning of production schedules. This position acts as the bridge between strategic sourcing and operational execution, ensuring an organization has the right materials at the right time and cost. Location: This is an onsite position located at our Santa Ana, CA office. Candidates living within a 25 mile range preferred. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Procurement & Sourcing: Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability. This includes negotiating contracts, terms, and pricing to secure favorable deals. Production Planning: Creating and managing production schedules to ensure efficient resource use and supply continuity. Inventory Management: Monitoring stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking. Demand Forecasting: Analyzing sales forecasts and historical data to predict future material needs. Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Building and maintaining strong partnerships with vendors to ensure a reliable supply chain. Data Integrity: Maintaining accurate records in NetSuite. Design Controls: Works closely with Engineering on new product release, ensuring proper / lean set up in manufacturing Take on or assist with other tasks/projects as the need arise. Qualifications Required for Position Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or related degree. Minimum of 5 years experience within Supply Chain/Materials Management. Preferably in an FDA Regulated environment. Expert level experience and skills in negotiation, inventory control and material planning systems. Experience developing and/or utilizing logistics-related modeling tools. Experience in a manufacturing environment and inter-relationship with other areas is required and includes complete knowledge of the purchasing function, including negotiations and contracting. This position requires expertise in allocation, budgeting and administration. Previous experience with production scheduling and material procurement. Ability to build and maintain production schedules that balance demand, inventory, and capacity Ability to respond to and manage schedule changes or supply disruptions Experience sourcing and evaluating alternative suppliers Experience with contracts, pricing, and terms Experience managing delivery schedules, expediting, and follow up Broad knowledge of supply chain process and procedures (manufacturing, distribution, supply planning, engineering, etc.). Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PPT) Proficient in NetSuite or similar ERP system Highly organized with attention to detail Experience in high volume/high mix, multi-shift manufacturing environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to effectively work with a team to achieve success Experience in ISO 13485 or highly regulated industry Work Environment Work requires to be indoors working at a computer workstation for long periods of time. Ability to walk around facility, indoors and outdoors, including stairs and uneven walkways. Walking, bending, stooping, lifting, carrying. Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. Salary Range The estimated base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $100,000 annually. If the level of the role changes during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. The actual base salary offered will be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, and level of education attained.
