BUYER PLANNER
Located in beautiful Newburyport Massachusetts, Boston Conveyor and Automation (BCA) has brought together a very experienced and successful team to focus on the automation process in the food manufacturing, life science and general manufacturing industries. Due to rapid growth, BCA is in need of a Buyer Planner.
JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer Planner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support BCA Mpac Group Global Supply Chain Strategies. This position reports to the Purchasing Materials Manger.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Strong ability to collaborate, negotiate and make decisions. Excellent communication, interpersonal, technical and organizational skills are also crucial.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or 3-5 years of equivalent experience required
· Experience with SIOP, master scheduling, detailed scheduling, materials planning, inventory management, and supply chain management
· Prior experience in Industrial Automation, Manufacturing or Packaging industries preferred
· Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, or other technical material
· Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment

· Drive the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning processes to achieve financial objectives
· Expedite orders and deliveries as needed to meet production requirements
· Interface with other departments such as Manufacturing, Shipping/Receiving, Service, Accounting, and Engineering to ensure services, raw material quality, quantity verification and timely delivery
· Monitor performance metrics for vendor OTD, quality, and cost improvements
· Adapt to changing market conditions, product development, business opportunities, cost reduction, price / contract negotiation, and quality improvement strategies
· Identify discrepancies between inventory levels and ERP data and take appropriate corrective action
· Assist with annual physical inventory / cycle count
· Support the usage of ERP Systems and Standard Processes to ensure inventory accuracy
· Perform other functions as needed.
