BUYER PLANNER Overview: The Buyer Planner is responsible for managing the procurement and planning of materials to ensure that inventory levels meet production and operational needs. This role plays a key part in maintaining a smooth supply chain, optimizing costs, and ensuring timely availability of materials for manufacturing or business operations Key Responsibilities: * Develop and execute purchasing plans based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and production schedules * Procure goods and materials locally and internationally, ensuring best pricing, quality, and delivery terms * Generate and process purchase orders using the company’s procurement system; track and monitor order status to ensure timely delivery * Coordinate with warehouse, production, and logistics teams to align material supply with operational requirements * Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities, inventory status, and supplier information * Analyze supplier performance and market trends; negotiate contracts and establish payment terms with vendors * Audit and evaluate vendor agreements; ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations * Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize procurement processes and inventory management * Prepare and present regular reports on purchasing, inventory, and supplier performance to management * Support customs clearance and logistics processes for imported goods as needed Qualifications and Skills: * Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field * 2+ years of experience in a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain planning role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics) * Knowledge of inventory management principles, demand forecasting, and supplier relationship management * Familiarity with Saudi customs clearance, VAT laws, and import/export procedures is highly desirable * Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills; fluency in English required * Saudi nationality required (per Saudization policies).
