Description
Buyer: Supplier Management: Establish and oversee supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and cost standards are met. Provide open-order reports to main suppliers, track on-time delivery performance, and act on any identified underperformance. Purchase Orders: Negotiate, create, and manage blanket and purchase orders per MRP/Kanban needs. Ensure favorable PO pricing, order materials from reports and Kanban cards, follow up on late POs, adjust as needed and resolve discrepancies. Product Development PDP: Generate quote spreadsheets for requested quantities, request quotes, complete the spreadsheet, and prepare a summary for review. Implement Engineering Change Order (ECO): Review ECOs, update Oracle attributes per material strategy, notify finance on parts for costing and activation, and inform stakeholders of ECO requirements. Work Order Maintenance: Enter work orders based on Sales Order Acknowledgments and planned order reports. Manage unexpected demands with Kanban spikes. 3+ years in a buyer/planner role in manufacturing, with experience in Kanban and Lean methods. Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management or related field preferred. Proficient with ERP systems and MS Office Suite. Experience in low volume, high mix product environments. Excellent communication and people skills. Analytical thinker with a problem-solving mindset and multi-tasking ability. CPIM or similar certification preferred.
