* Report to Complex Purchasing Manager, assisting with daily operations. * Utilize evaluation system for vendor quotes with appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques, ensuring quality, price, delivery and service. * Manage and monitor procurement reporting systems. * Recruit and maintain suppliers who provide high quality products and services while maintaining highest code of ethics and conduct. * Prepare and issue purchase contracts and change notices. * Review claims and contracts for conformance to Company policy. * Prepare and review contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements for legal correctness, price and specifications. * All other relevant duties as required. Qualifications * High School Diploma or equivalent required, with Bachelor degree preferred. Education may be considered in place of relevant work experience. * 1+ year(s) buyer experience in poultry or meat category market preferred. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Proficient technology, computer, mathematical and analytical skills. * Detail oriented.
