Description Modesto Toyota is looking for a Vehicle Acquisition Associate. The Vehicle Acquisition Associate will be focused on acquiring additional inventory for the dealership by actively prospecting outside of the Modesto Toyota network. The Vehicle Acquisition Associate will identify and engage private parties looking to sell their vehicle. This Associate will have consistent interaction with customers throughout the day, both in-person and over the phone. This role will primarily make cold contact with prospects who have their vehicle advertised for sale, both online and as walk-ins to the store. They will set appointments with potential customers to visit the dealership for an appraisal. To be successful, you should have excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills. Requirements Ø High School diploma or equivalent. Ø Valid Driver’s License & Sales License (or able to acquire) Ø Ability to set and achieve targeted goals. Ø Extremely self-motivated Ø Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills. Ø Strong organizational, decision making and problem-solving skills. Ø The ability to communicate with mechanics, customers, and management. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ø Review vehicle condition reports Ø Determine wholesale and retail prices Ø Inspect and accept vehicles arriving onsite Ø Create and execute reconditioning plan to prepare vehicle for sale Ø Using sound judgement, research, and excellent interpersonal skills to make offers on vehicles and close sales Ø Driving incremental business through a high-level of engagement with customers. Ø Turn prospective Vehicle Procurement Customers over to an “elite” sales team for a sales opportunity Ø Work with management to identify current inventory needs. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, WORK ENVIROMENTS, and WORK SCHEDULE: Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Safely work with team to lift and maneuver items weighing up to 100 pounds. Stand, walk or sit for long periods of time without resting. Ability to perform routine kneeling, crouching or crawling.
