Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable sourcing and long-term partnerships.
  • Source and obtain supplier quotations, review terms, and generate accurate purchase orders with proper supporting documentation.
  • Regularly review supplier performance and ensure adherence to company policies, statutory regulations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of fresh produce types, quality grades, and handling requirements to align with customer and supplier expectations.
  • Identify and minimize inefficiencies across procurement and logistics processes by aligning quality and delivery standards between stakeholders.
  • Conduct cost evaluations to determine the most economical sourcing and logistics options, including bulk purchases across customer segments.
  • Monitor and manage supplier claims related to product quality or delivery, ensuring timely resolution to protect operational costs.
  • Implement and oversee quality control checks to ensure the freshness, safety, and compliance of produce with current industry standards.
  • Analyze consumption trends and collaborate with relevant teams to forecast orders accurately, reducing the risk of overstock or stockouts.
  • Evaluate transportation and storage strategies to optimize freshness, minimize spoilage, and manage associated risks and costs effectively.
