JOB TITLE: TEMPORARY BUYER – PURCHASING DEPARTMENT

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing professional to support a critical, time-sensitive project. The main objective of this role is to map our complete supplier base to the N level — identifying sub-suppliers and raw material sources — and collect specific technical and supply chain information required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Logistics, or a related field (required).
• Prior experience in Purchasing, Supplier Management, or Supply Chain Analysis is strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, especially in gathering data from external sources.
• Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and database tools.
• Experience with supplier onboarding, supplier qualification, or sub-tier supply chain mapping.
• Familiarity with automotive industry supply chain requirements, particularly GM standards.

• Conduct comprehensive mapping of our entire supplier network, including all tiers down to raw material sources.
• Identify and engage with direct suppliers and sub-suppliers to gather required data and technical information.
• Build and maintain a detailed, accurate supplier database as per the customer’s specifications.
• Coordinate closely with internal purchasing and supply chain teams to align on supplier engagement strategies.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of progress and data to internal stakeholders and meet the customer’s deadlines.
• Handle sensitive supplier information with confidentiality and professionalism.
