Description

The Resale Buyer is key to shaping Turnabout’s inventory, curating selections that reflect market trends and meet customer demand. Success in this role requires a sharp eye for fashion, confident decision-making, and the ability to balance brand integrity with business objectives, while also actively and energetically encouraging both new and long-time clients to bring in items for sale
This position requires excellent customer service abilities. As the Resale Buyer, you will need strong communication skills to listen to clients’ needs and expectations while clearly explaining our services. The role requires fast and efficient evaluation of items brought in, the ability to make confident selections, and the tact to kindly return items we cannot accept, all while building positive, long-term client relationships.

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong knowledge of fashion brands, particularly in luxury and designer resale.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to inform buying decisions.
  • Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong sense of style and brand identity.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Prior experience in buying, merchandising, management or a related field is a plus.
  • Mandarin not required but an asset
Responsibilities
  • Source, evaluate, authenticate and price resale items based on market trends and customer preferences.
  • Build strong relationships with sellers and ensure a seamless customer service.
  • Oversee inventory processing, ensuring accuracy in product selection and pricing.
  • Collaborate with store managers to align inventory with customer demand and sales objectives.
  • Monitor industry trends and apply insights to improve buying decisions and accurate pricing.
  • Assist in markdown strategies and inventory optimization.
  • Drive business growth through proactive sourcing and creative customer engagement.
