Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement and Order Management:
  • You will be responsible for creating, entering, and tracking all purchase orders.
  • Ensuring materials are ordered accurately and delivered on time.
  • Comparing packing slips to POs to verify that the correct items and quantities are received.
  • Prepare and process POs, contracts, and other procurement related documents.
  • Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and project specifications.
  • Inventory Control:
  • Manage inventory by maintain our procurement tracker.
  • Performing regular cycle counts.
  • Tracking all inventory levels to prevent delays.
  • Ensuring the team has what is needed, when they need it.
  • Cost Management:
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of market trends and material costs, to ensure projects stay within budget.
  • Relationship Management:
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, and manufacturing teams to understand material requirements.
  • Logistics & Material Coordination:
  • You will coordinate with vendors to pick up materials as needed.
  • Track orders to ensure timely deliveries to the job sites.
  • Blueprint & Material Analysis:
  • Strong analytical skills will be needed to read blueprints.
  • Perform accurate material take-offs.
  • Mathematical skills to calculate the necessary quantities for each project.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Buyer or Procurement professional.
  • Specific experience with modular construction is preferred but not required.
  • Proven track record of successful negotiation and cost savings.
  • Solid grasps of math, including basic algebra, geometry, percentages, and volume calculations.

Skills:

  • Excellent negation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in procurement software ERP systems, Epicor a plus.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, World, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast- paced environment.
