We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Site Buyer to support procurement activities during commission of our SAGD facility. This role will focus on executing pre-approved purchases for materials, parts, and consumables
This is a 3-month project that is a camp position north or Wandering River, Alberta. 14 on 14 off with 12 hour shifts. Meals & Accommodations provided. The role is also a primary interface with the operations department to ensure a smooth and efficient turn over of a project, there is also everyday plant operations to monitor and improve on. Please note there is a OT Averaging agreement in place.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/INFORMATION

• Valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract
• Must currently resides and eligible to work in Canada
• Must speak, read and write fluently in English

EXPERIENCE:

• +3 Years of Procurement experience in Oil & Gas, Preferably SAGD
• Hands-on experience supporting purchasing during commissioning or turnarounds
• Familiarity with SAGD materials and consumables
• Proficiency with ERP systems (HxGN EAM or Maximo experience is a strong asset)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic site Environment

• Execute purchase orders based on pre-approved quotes and material requests
• Manage vendor communication, delivery timelines, and PO follow-up
• Support purchasing during commissioning and turnaround activities
• Create and maintain part records, vendor profiles, and purchase log
• Collaborate with warehouse and maintenance teams to ensure materials are received and coded accurately
• Maintain accuracy and consistency within the ERP system (HxGN EAM)
