As a Sports Buyer, you are part of a high performing and target driven team. Through your industry knowledge and passion for the Tennis & Golf market you are creating new and innovative ways to connect with consumers whilst delivering strong results.
As the expert of those sports in the team, you will define and execute the seasonal strategies, curate and develop your brand portfolio, and optimize the assortment mix. With full ownership of unit KPIs, you will build strong supplier partnerships and implement business model strategies that contribute directly to the unit’s overall strategy and long-term success.
You use your strong negotiation skills to deliver success to your unit and to meet the company’s growth plans. WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

As the Buyer for Tennis & Golf in the Specialty Sport category, you will play the main role in shaping the product assortment and driving the commercial success of the portfolio. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Owning and managing key brand relationships, building long-term strategic partnerships that align with Zalando’s objectives.
  • Defining the seasonal strategy for your brands, including budget and assortment planning, in collaboration with the merchandising team.
  • Proactively managing your portfolio by selecting & buying the right assortment. Including trend identification, brand portfolio management, & ensuring profitability.
  • Negotiating the best commercial terms and consistently advocating for Zalando’s best interest to support the Category and overall business strategy.
  • Coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of your portfolio strategy.
