Qualifications

  • 4+ years of purchasing/procurement experience (experience with cleaning products or manufacturing is a plus).
  • Proven ability to source across multiple vendors and negotiate supply contracts.
  • Strong ERP and Microsoft Office Suite skills; advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Exceptional organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and product standards an asset

Responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-driven, proactive Buyer to support daily procurement operations. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will manage vendor relationships, coordinate inventory needs, and drive cost-effective sourcing strategies. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys optimizing supply chain performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and procure janitorial and cleaning supplies from vetted and prospective suppliers.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships; evaluate new vendor opportunities.
  • Monitor supplier performance, resolve delivery issues, and manage non-conformance procedures.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and sales teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Analyze usage trends and support demand forecasting.
  • Negotiate pricing and delivery terms aligned with company goals.
  • Create and manage purchase orders in the ERP system with accurate documentation.
  • Support cross-functional coordination with accounting, customer service, and sales.
