Prepares RFQ’s, negotiates quotes and purchases for assigned items in a professional and competent manner.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
• 3-5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience (0-5 years with BA/BS)
• Experience working in a MRP environment
• Knowledge of Oracle a plus
• Must have knowledge of Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook

• Processes assigned requisitions by selection of suppliers, obtains and evaluates quotations, negotiates, develops source justifications, price justifications, initiates procurement action and makes commitments within delegated authority.
• Prepares data for generation of the purchase order.
• Develops new sources of supply and maintains source files.
• Attends assigned meetings.
• Expedites purchase orders if required.
• Performs other duties as required
