Hello Buyer! Join us. The Buyer will play an integral position on the merchandising team. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role that sits at the intersection of buying, e-commerce, marketing, and live event operations. The Buyer works directly with the Director of Merchandising to build and execute the product strategy across Valuetainment merchandise and the Future Looks Bright (FLB) brand from sourcing and buying to digital presentation and in-person activation. This role will cross-functionally collaborate with Marketing, Finance, Events and the BDC team to deliver on our strategies. Job Responsibilities Buying and Product Management Manage purchase orders from creation through delivery including vendor follow-up, shipment tracking, and receipt confirmation Own developing and executing category plan for assigned categories; assist in developing and executing buying strategies across all merchandise and FLB product categories Maintain accurate item setups, product data, and inventory records across all channels Support costing, margin analysis, and pricing decisions Monitor sell-through performance and recommend reorder or markdown actions Coordinate with international vendors (Italy, Portugal, Peru) on production timelines, sampling, and quality approvals Assist in managing the product development calendar across multiple simultaneous sourcing tracks E-Commerce and Digital Operations Oversee product listings on the Valuetainment store including copy, imagery, sizing information, and product detail accuracy Ensure all pre-order, back-order, and in-stock items are accurately represented with correct shipping lead times at checkout Monitor site performance metrics including conversion rate, cart abandonment, bounce rate, and escalate issues Coordinate with the fulfillment partner (3PL) to ensure order accuracy, SOP compliance, and same-day shipping execution Manage product launch calendar and coordinate with marketing on go-live timing Support DTC customer experience initiatives including post-purchase communications and care package programs Marketing and Content Coordination Partner with the marketing team on product launch campaigns, email marketing, and social content planning Brief creative teams on new product stories, brand messaging, and photography direction Assist in developing product-level content for podcast integrations, YouTube, and social platforms Live Event and Conference Operations Coordinate merchandise and FLB product activations at Valuetainment live events including the Vault Conference, SLS and PBD Podcast live shows Manage event-specific purchase orders with direct-to-venue shipping logistics Oversee on-site merchandise setup, inventory management, and sell-through tracking at events Negotiate vendor terms and promotional pricing for event-exclusive product Coordinate with event operations, hospitality, and consulting teams on product integration Manage gifting and VIP product packages for speakers, guests, and strategic partners Vendor and Partner Management Serve as day-to-day point of contact for assigned vendors and suppliers Track and communicate production milestones, delivery dates, and quality issues Coordinate vendor onboarding including setup forms, payment terms, and compliance documentation Support negotiation of pricing concessions, payment terms, and lead time improvements Analytics and Reporting Build and maintain weekly and monthly reporting on sales, inventory, margin, and sell-through by category Track and report on fulfillment SOP compliance including order processing times, shipping accuracy, and customer satisfaction Support financial planning with sales forecasts, open-to-buy management, and receipt tracking Job Requirements 2–4 years of experience in buying, merchandising, e-commerce, or product management ideally in apparel, footwear, accessories, or consumer goods Experience working with vendors and managing purchase orders across the full product lifecycle Familiarity with DTC e-commerce operations and fulfillment processes Live events or retail activation experience is a plus An inspirational leader with passion for the customer and driving flawless execution Project management and continuous process improvement acumen A team player having the ability to collaborate effectively and contribute to a positive, unified team environment.
