BUYER

Location: Lisburn
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000
Contract: Temporary
Are you an experienced Buyer with a background in manufacturing or engineering environments? VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with a leading organisation in Lisburn to recruit a Temporary Buyer to support their procurement function during a busy project phase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Raise purchase orders in line with project and production needs
  • Source materials and components based on BOMs and technical specifications
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiating on price, quality, and lead time
  • Monitor stock levels and update internal systems accordingly
  • Liaise with internal teams including production, engineering, and planning
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any supplier issues
  • Support cost-saving initiatives and improve procurement efficiency

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in a Buyer or procurement role (manufacturing/engineering environment preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
  • Confident working from BOMs and interpreting technical requirements
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Available to start at short notice
