SUMMARY

This is an excellent opportunity for a fashion or buying graduate or similar, seeking their first step into the Buying world. Equally, if you already have a buying, sports and fashion background and are interested in joining the MandM team, then we want to hear from you.
The Buying Assistant role supports the administrative requirements of the Buyers, enabling them to function efficiently and effectively.

  • Previous administrative experience
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Strong work ethic
  • A keen interest in sports and fashion as well as knowledge of sports and fashion product
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent communicator and a positive attitude

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Competitor analysis and shopping reports
  • Trend research
  • Supporting the administrative requirements of the Buying team
  • Order management - to include loading orders and maintaining the rang plan, placing purchase orders and confirming orders with brands and suppliers
  • Managing the critical path of the product from purchase to delivery and on sale to sell out
  • Monitoring and reviewing the accuracy of product online
  • Tracking, receiving, logging and maintaining the sample library
  • QC and sample fit sessions
  • Creating packs and trend boards
  • Updating relevant spreadsheet and databases
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with the Buyers and the Brands
