Overview:
This opportunity for a Global Customs & Trade (GCT) Data & Analytics Specialist offers the chance to play a key role in managing daily import and export data compliance for PepsiCo´s concentrate business - Cork operations (PCS). The main purpose of this role is to support the creation, accuracy, maintenance, transfer and reporting of customs and trade data to support our global supply chains. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with Customs/Irish Revenue and global trade regulations by managing key customs data, including Inward Processing and Customs Warehouse regimes, preference analysis and export processes.
In addition to data governance, this role will play a pivotal part in analytics and automatization, leveraging SAP, Excel, Power BI, and other tools to provide insights that drive data standards, accuracy and compliance. The successful candidate will support the maintenance of customs data, execute, and enhance reporting processes, and enable data-driven decision-making for wider organisation. This role will also support the implementation of SAP GTS.
This is a data-centric role that requires analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex customs and trade data into actionable insights.
Responsibilities:

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Trade, Data Science, IT, Statistics, Mathematics or International Trade, Supply Chain, Customs Compliance and related fields, certifications in Data Analytics or BI tools would be advantageous;
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in Data Governance and Analytics or Customs & Trade compliance within a multinational, consultancy, or brokerage environment;
  • Excellent skills in data management and analysis using available applications such as Power BI, Power Query, Tableau, SQL, or MS Excel/Access;
  • Experience working with SAP, GTS, or similar ERP systems;
  • Understanding of customs regimes, special customs procedures (including Inward Processing and Customs Warehousing), valuation, classification, preferential origin, and declaration requirements would be an advantage;
  • Expertise in data reporting, planning, and customs audits;
  • Proven background in process automation and SAP launch projects would be advantageous.

SOFT SKILLS:

  • Strong Analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail;
  • Natural ability to keep things simple and in order, curiosity to extract insights from Data;
  • Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written in English, with ability to clearly articulate complex concepts and ideas and collaborate within a virtual global organization;
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced organization;
  • Curious, critical-thinking mindset with problem-solving and decision-making abilities;
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently or in a collaborative team environment.
