DEPARTMENT OF ENGINEERING

Central Connecticut State University invites applicants to join the Department of Engineering as a full- time, tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Systems Engineering beginning August 2025. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to the growth and delivery of the undergraduate minor and graduate certificate program in Systems Engineering, both of which were launched in Fall 2024.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated college or university-level teaching experience as the instructor of record in Systems Engineering or a closely related (Teaching assistant experience alone does not meet this requirement)
  • Demonstrated expertise and versatility in teaching a broad range of engineering courses, including systems engineering topics.
  • Experience with ABET accreditation activities, including developing and maintaining teaching
  • Familiarity with integrating modern tools and technologies used in systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Leadership experience in preparing university programs for ABET
  • Proven track record of collaborating with industry partners to secure external funding for applied research projects involving undergraduate or graduate students.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineering (P.E.)
  • Demonstrated history of excellence in teaching, scholarly activities, and academic
