Our Technical, Advisory, and Capability (TAC) practice and Team Downe r serves as one of the Major Service Providers delivering consulting services and Integrated Work Packages across the Department of Defence, leveraging innovative approaches such as mission and digital engineering to enable the successful delivery of critical Defence programs. This includes collaboration with key Defence entities, including Defence Digital Group (DDG), National Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG), Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG), and branches across the Navy, Army, and Air Force .

C4 Design establishes the standards and structure for networks across the joint force using Mission Engineering principles and extensive communications expertise. We are seeking a C4 Co-Design - IAMD candidate for a joint project in Canberra to:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders on all design activities.
  • Conduct mission engineering and develop mission threads.
  • Create innovative C4 design artefacts for Joint Force integration.
  • Apply MBSE for traceable, repeatable, and evidence-based designs.
  • Work with C4 Design teams to ensure coherent outputs and assurance.
  • Formalise design artefacts into Standards Profiles with the C4 Standards Team.
  • Support capability programs, acquisitions, and sustainment with compliant C4 designs.

Deliver written and verbal briefs for C4 Design assurance.

The successful candidate must have Defence industry experience coupled with:

  • Expertise in Intelligence & Targeting, IAMD (Air & Space), Multi-Domain Strike, AI & Uncrewed Systems, Maritime (Undersea Warfare), or Force-level logistics & health info.
  • Experience designing C4 capabilities.
  • Expertise in Mission Engineering, particularly mission thread development.
  • Knowledge of Systems of Systems Engineering and/or MBSE.

Familiarity with NATO Architecture Framework v4.0.
