Description
Responsibilities
Undertaking of all pedagogic work such as lesson preparation, classroom teaching, tutorial work and marking.
Conducting student assessments in order to place students, monitor progress and identify learning support needs.
Providing appropriate student support in order to meet both the academic and welfare needs of learners and ensuring that all relevant information is recorded on the appropriate College systems.
Undertaking all organisational and administrative work associated with the above. This includes, inter alia, attending team meetings, taking part in professional development activities and staff appraisals, maintaining accurate teaching-related records including details of assessment and attendance.
Taking part in course evaluation activities and contributing to the development of the curriculum.
An involvement in marketing, i.e. identification of consumer requirements, creating appropriate publicity materials and working with external agencies where appropriate.
Undertaking such other duties as may be reasonably required of you commensurate with your grade; at your initial place of work or at other locations in the College catchment area.
Administration and management of institutions or of education and training programmes (or significant facets or sub-divisions of any of these).
Undertaking such individual or collaborative research and consultancy work as shall be agreed by the College Management.
Welsh language skills are not essential but would be desirable for this role.
