POSITION OVERVIEW

CRI’s Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) corporate team is seeking a skilled professional to support our CAAS practitioners by optimizing the use of accounting software and processes. This role is ideal for an accounting practitioner with hands-on experience using platforms like Xero or QuickBooks, who is passionate about technology and ready to transition into an internal, corporate role. As a Client Accounting Systems Specialist, you will serve as a vital link between CAAS practitioners, corporate IT, and leadership, ensuring seamless access to software, resolving user issues, and driving process improvements. This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your accounting expertise and technology skills to make a meaningful impact within our firm.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a self-starter with a collaborative mindset and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess, triage, and resolve issues while proactively identifying opportunities to prevent future challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
  • Enthusiasm for learning new technologies, workflows, and processes in a dynamic environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience delivering accounting services using CAAS platforms such as Xero or QuickBooks.
  • Background in public accounting or professional services, with an understanding of client-facing workflows.
  • Familiarity with workflow tools, process documentation platforms, or training development.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • A track record of identifying inefficiencies and contributing to process improvements.
  • Experience collaborating with IT or IT Security teams is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Manage user access to CAAS software platforms, ensuring smooth onboarding, role changes, and offboarding in collaboration with IT.
  • Provide first-level support to internal users, addressing software functionality, access issues, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Identify user knowledge gaps and assist in developing or delivering training resources to enhance proficiency with CAAS tools.
  • Monitor and document recurring user issues, escalating complex matters to leadership or IT as needed.
  • Support the development and implementation of standardized processes to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Ensure adherence to firm-wide security and compliance standards for software usage.
  • Contribute to the documentation of processes, procedures, and best practices to support team success.
