Description We’re hiring a Seasonal Cabana Supervisor to help lead day-to-day operations at our waterfront recreation venue. This role supports and supervises the team across kayak, SUP, and boat rentals, as well as scenic cruises, while ensuring every guest has a safe, fun, and efficient experience. This is a hands-on leadership position - perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors, managing people, and thriving in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. Qualified candidates must be available April–November and able to work 40 hours per week, including weekdays and weekends. As a Rumbling Bald Associate, you’ll also enjoy access to onsite amenities, free golf, and Associate discounts on food, spa services, boat rentals, and merchandise. Essential Functions: Ensures a safe operation by enforcing waterway regulations, marina policies, and equipment usage rules at all times. Supervises, schedules, and trains Marina/Cabana staff to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent guest service. Assists guests with marina and beach activities, rentals, equipment, and resources to create a positive experience. Maintains strong public relations with guests and property owners by providing responsive, professional service. Performs opening and closing duties and ensures the facility is ready for daily operations. Conducts periodic inspections of the marina, beach cabana, and surrounding areas; reports concerns and helps correct issues promptly. Completes daily reports, logs, and required documentation accurately and on time. Communicates equipment and supply needs, including submitting requisitions and coordinating with the Cabana Manager. Assists with ordering marina food and beverage items, including ice cream, snacks, and drinks. In partnership with the Cabana Manager, helps develop and implement new products and service offerings. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Cabana Manager. Requirements Skills & Abilities: Strong teamwork skills with a consistent customer-service focus. High energy, positive attitude, and a professional presence. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of general maintenance and basic equipment care. Ability to think creatively and adapt quickly when performing and delegating tasks. Flexible availability to work a varied schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays (July 4 is required). Must be able to swim at an intermediate level. Experience & Education: Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role preferred. Experience in outdoor recreation, hospitality, marina, or tourism environments strongly preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree with an emphasis in recreation preferred. CPR and/or First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain. NC Boater Education Certificate, or willingness to obtain. Valid NC driver's license. Physical Requirements: Endure extended periods of driving, sitting, standing, or walking in a hot, humid environment. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, climbing, and stooping; climb stairs and elevations; and use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects. Work effectively in environments that may involve stress and increased physical activity, including operating a vehicle or boat as part of job duties.
