About the Role:
The Cabinet Drafter & Coordinator to supports our Kitchen & Bath Designers by transforming initial layouts into detailed drawings, managing cabinet orders, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring seamless integration of cabinetry into architectural plans and client proposals. This role requires a blend of technical drawing skills, construction knowledge, project coordination, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities

Design & Drafting:

  • Collaborate with Kitchen & Bath Designers to produce 2D and 3D drawings using Chief Architect software.
  • Develop detailed cabinet drawings from initial layouts and generate accurate cabinet quotes.
  • Create custom cabinet packages including floor plans, elevations, dimensions, nomenclature, plumbing, and appliance specifications.
  • Prepare proposals using MyDoma software.

Project Coordination:

  • Revise plans based on feedback from architects and designers.
  • Update and resubmit cabinet packages as needed.
  • Conduct site visits for final field measurements prior to placing orders.
  • Place and track orders via online portals.
  • Send work orders, schedule deliveries and installations.
  • Coordinate delivery timelines with project managers and vendors.
  • Update weekly reports on shipping dates and order progress.

Logistics & Quality Control

  • Receive and verify cabinetry materials both in-office and on-site.
  • Check deliveries against Bills of Lading and coordinate with field teams and designers.
  • Manage RMA (replacement/additional materials) and warranty item orders.
  • Oversee showroom cabinetry samples and literature.

Team Collaboration

  • Participate in weekly team meetings to review schedules and project next steps.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience with Chief Architect or similar software
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office software.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in construction, layouts and components.
  • Ability to read cabinet nomenclature and construction documents.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Spreadsheet and general computer proficiency.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Experience in residential kitchen and bath design is preferred.

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
