Job Knowledge Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Install baseboards, molding, wood paneling, cabinets, window frames, doors, and other fixtures in designated areas according to blueprints and specifications. Ensure all installations are properly aligned, positioned, and secured. Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, chisels, sanders, saws, and nail guns, safely and proficiently. Inspect and verify the quality of materials used and work completed to ensure adherence to building codes and company standards. Coordinate with other construction professionals, such as electricians and plumbers, to ensure spaces are prepared for installation. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and removing debris and leftover materials after installation. Provide custom fabrication services when pre-fabricated components do not fit or are unavailable. Troubleshoot and repair issues with existing trim and cabinetry. Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on progress and timelines. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in trim work and cabinet installation or carpentry Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools, including miter saws, table saws, drills, and nail guns Ability to read and interpret blueprints and architectural drawings Strong knowledge of various types of wood, finishes, and hardware used in trim and cabinetry Experience with measuring, cutting, and installing trim and moldings Skilled at fitting and installing cabinets, including leveling and securing units Familiarity with building codes and safety standards related to trim and cabinet installation Ability to perform precise calculations and adjustments for a seamless finish Excellent attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment, including adherence to OSHA regulations Huseman Group is an EOE/M/F/D/V - Alcohol- and Drug-Free Workplace Huseman Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer and maintains an Alcohol- and Drug-Free Workplace.
