Responsibilities:
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for Cabinet Makers to join our growing team in a full-service, state-of-the-art millwork facility. This full-time, on-site role involves the fabrication and assembly of high-quality wooden cabinetry and furniture. The Cabinet Maker will work with skilled craftsmen, using advanced equipment and tools to create products that reflect our clients’ unique needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Cabinet Maker at Canara Woodworking Inc., you will be responsible for:
- Using various tools to fabricate wooden cabinets and high-grade furniture pieces.
- Setting up and operating woodworking machines such as power saws, jointers, mortisers, tenoners, molders, and shapers to cut and shape parts from wood stock.
- Reviewing blueprints or drawings of projects to plan the sequence of cutting or shaping operations.
- Ensuring component parts of joints fit snugly through precise trimming techniques.
- Gluing, fitting, and clamping parts and subassemblies to create complete units.
- Sanding and scraping surfaces and joints of the pieces to prepare them for finishing.
