JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented self employed Cabinet Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for woodworking and a strong understanding of cabinet fabrication and assembly. This role involves working with various materials and tools to create high-quality furniture that meet our clients’ specifications. The Cabinet Maker will be responsible for ensuring that all products are constructed to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker or in a similar woodworking role.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
• Strong knowledge of joinery techniques and cabinet assembly methods.
• Ability to install furniture.
• Experience with electrical components is advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to lift heavy materials safely
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• A valid driving licence may be beneficial for transporting materials or equipment as needed.

• Fabricate furniture using a variety of materials, including wood, veneers, laminate, and composite materials.
• Assemble cabinet components, ensuring precision and attention to detail in all joints and finishes.
• Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
• Perform joinery work, including cutting, shaping, and fitting pieces together.
• Conduct painting and finishing tasks.
• Collaborate with designers and clients to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Assist with heavy lifting of materials as required during the production process.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the fabrication or assembly process.
