Description JOB SUMMARY We’re looking for a team-focused Cabinet Shop Carpenter to add to our team at Untied Finishes. The Shop Cabinet Finish Carpenter is responsible for the final carpentry stages of cabinet production. This role focuses on custom modifications and fabrication of cabinet parts before delivery. The position emphasizes craftsmanship, accuracy, and clean finishing work—excluding painting or spray finishing. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Modifications and fabrication of cabinet parts Install hinges, drawer slides, pulls, and other hardware Fit and align doors and drawers for proper gaps and operation Sand and prep wood surfaces for a clean, smooth carpentry finish (no coating application) Inspect completed cabinets for defects, alignment, and overall quality Adjust, repairs, and fine detail corrections as needed Read and interpret shop drawings and cut lists Operate standard woodworking tools and machinery safely Ensure all work meets shop standards and project specifications Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Requirements EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 2+ years of experience in a cabinet shop or similar environment Experience with custom cabinetry or high-end residential work Familiarity with soft-close hardware systems and modern cabinet components Ability to read/write basic English correspondence and perform simple alphabetizing. Experience in cabinet making, millwork, or finishing carpentry Strong understanding of cabinet construction and joinery Skilled in installing and adjusting cabinet hardware Ability to read and follow shop drawings and measurements accurately High attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship Proficient with hand tools and power tools Good problem-solving skills for fit and alignment issues Physical ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods Math skills acquired through high school diploma or equivalent to understanding fractions and square feet.
