The new Lead Hand will provide exemplary leadership across his/her department during the Company’s day shift. The Lead Hand will report to the Company’s Production Manager.
The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and decision-making skills. He/she will be motivational, innovative and entrepreneurial.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • 1 year lead hand or leadership experience
  • Experience in a woodworking and/or millwork business would be beneficial.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, guide and direct area employees to achieve and sustain safety, productivity and quality goals
  • Develop, oversee and enforce processes across the department
  • Identify and provide resolution to any training, machine, material, or other issues that may affect safety, productivity and quality
  • Accurately complete daily reporting requirements in a timely manner
  • Seek out, implement, and share best practices within department to improve safety, productivity and quality
  • Direct and participate in daily housekeeping duties for the area.
  • Participate in daily production tasks
  • Coordinate and participate in shift change communications to ensure total department success.
