EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in audio electronics repair and maintenance for live audio rental is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to service and repair audio system components, and speaker boxes is also highly desirable.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role and/or a related industry as a Maintenance Technician.
  • Must hold a valid NSW or VIC Test and Tagging Certification.
  • Experience in cable manufacturing, assembly or cable installation.
  • Sound ability in soldering to high specifications, including fine, detailed work.
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication skills.
  • Work efficiently as part of a team, as well as autonomously.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

JPJ Audio, a leading supplier of live audio equipment, is looking for an experienced Cable Assembler/Repairer to join our Melbourne maintenance department, based in Yarraville, VIC.
In this role, you will be required to perform routine preventive maintenance of electronic equipment for live production audio rental. The successful applicant will have experience in testing and repairing professional high-end audio equipment.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Conduct regular and routine maintenance of audio equipment, including, but not limited to speaker box repair.
  • Cable assembly & connector terminating tasks, providing routine maintenance and repairs.
  • Cable inventory and spares management.
  • Assessment, repair & maintenance of electrical, RF, analogue and digital cabling used in professional audio and communications systems.
  • Liaising with engineering & production support personnel to achieve the above.
  • Cable inventory and spares management.
