Cable Counting: Accurately count and document cable lengths while spooling Inspection and Testing: Perform routine inspections and testing of cables to identify faults, damage, or wear using specialized tools and equipment. Cable Repair and Maintenance: Diagnose and repair damaged or faulty cables, connectors to restore functionality. Splicing and Termination: Conduct cable splicing and termination following proper procedures and ensuring secure and reliable connections. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports, cable layouts, and testing results. Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve electrical cable issues using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition. Education: High school diploma or GED required; Experience: Proven experience as an electrical cable technician or similar role. Knowledge of low-voltage, high-voltage is a plus. Proficiency in cable spooling, counting, evaluation, splicing, and termination techniques. Experience using diagnostic tools, such as multimeters, cable testers, Hi-Pot. Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in electrical work. Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and cables. Comfortable working on feet for long hours conditions. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
