Here at Ausgrid, we’re working on a future that works for everyone. As a leader in energy distribution, we’re proud of the work we do, delivering safe and reliable electricity to more than 2 million homes and businesses – that’s over 4 million Australians relying on us every day.
We’re driven by our purpose to make electricity accessible for all, and it’s our people that bring this to life. As we continue to grow, we are in search of exceptional talent to help us achieve our goals. We’re working today for a sustainable, affordable tomorrow.
We are powered by diversity. Our customers come from all walks of life, and so do we! We are committed to creating a diverse, respectful, and inclusive workforce, and encourage applications from various backgrounds, including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, individuals with disability, people from culturally diverse backgrounds, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
The Cable Jointer Leading Hand plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, reliability, sustainability, and affordability of our network. Responsibilities include supervising and coordinating field employees to work safely and efficiently according to approved standards, with a primary focus on safety. You’ll oversee on-site activities, including safety protocols, permits, and coordination with other teams. Additionally, you’ll coordinate emergency restoration work, address customer complaints, mentor less experienced employees, and provide technical advice. Collaboration with planners and schedulers to allocate resources effectively and preparing job sites for upcoming work are also key aspects of the role.
