Description
May perform installation and maintenance of telephone lines, DSL, T1, or special circuits from the telephone company’s point of demarc, inward to the customers equipment.
Installation and removal of telecom and data networking equipment to include cabinets, racks, routers, switches, servers, firewalls, modems, phone sets, etc.
Troubleshoot and repair telecom and data network cabling issues and work with network support to determine problem source
Additional duties may include work on special voice, data, or video circuits.
Install copper data connections for voice and data equipment.
Provide escorting of external vendors to network closets and equipment rooms
Work with the Field Service Manager, and/or Project Manager to resolve problems when required.
Maintain schedules, productivity, and quality standards on all assigned tasks.
Maintain safety and security standards at all times on assigned projects.
Follow all company policies and procedures on all assigned projects.
Respond to any customer concern or questions, or direct them to management for appropriate response.
Look for potential roadblocks or hazards that may hinder productivity or schedules on assigned tasks.
