This role will focus on installing, maintaining, and repairing fiber optic and cabling systems to ensure connectivity and performance. The Cable Technician will adhere to all applicable rules and regulations, focusing on the utilization of best practices and safety. This role will conduct routine maintenance checks and emergency repairs as needed and ensure proper documentation of all installations and repairs. Qualifications To be considered for this position, candidates must have the following: 3+ years of related telecommunications experience working as a Cable Technician within a DoD IT environment. Must be familiar with BICSI rules, regulations, and standards. Must be well versed in the use of network cabling test equipment including network testers, copper cable testers, fiber OTDRs and fiber power meters. Experience analyzing, administering, and maintaining a telecommunications and network cabling infrastructure. Must have related certifications for Fiber Optic Cable and CAT6 Cable Installation. All candidates must have an active secret clearance. All candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience. Posted Min Pay Rate USD $34,762.50/Yr. Posted Max Pay Rate USD $57,937.50/Yr. Salary Disclosure Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications. The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance.
