Description:

We are seeking a Cable Technician based in Fairfield, Connecticut. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity in the cable industry. The Cable Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining cable system infrastructure, installing various cable devices and systems, and ensuring the optimal functioning of the same.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair cable system infrastructure to ensure smooth operations.
  • Install data and voice cables for residential cable television and home router systems, ensuring secure and efficient connectivity.
  • Set up cabled devices for home security systems, providing safety and peace of mind for customers.
  • Upgrade existing cable television and internet systems to improve user experience and system performance.
  • Perform cable system maintenance regularly to prevent disruptions and maintain service quality.
  • Utilize skills in broadband, EO/IR systems, networking, and patch panel for efficient service delivery.
  • Install and maintain OSP, AB Testing, Cable Installation, Cabling, and Coax Cable systems.
  • Leverage experience with cat5/cat6 cables in system installations and repairs.
  • Deliver digital solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Monitor customer accounts and respond to inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Proficiency in broadband and EO/IR systems
  • Strong networking skills with an understanding of OSP
  • Experience in using a patch panel
  • Familiarity with AB Testing procedures
  • Proven skills in cable installation and cabling
  • Knowledge of coax cable and digital systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Willingness to work in different locations and environments
  • Must adhere to safety guidelines and standards at all times
  • Physical stamina for demanding work and ability to lift heavy equipment
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
