Our client is seeking Entry-Level Cable Technicians who are willing to relocate to Altoona, Iowa for a 6 month assignment starting January. After the contract, it's followed by a LONG TERM move to the Lebanon, Indiana site around July/August 2026. This is a HUGE opportunity to be on an exclusive contract to build the cable infrastructure throughout the Meta Data Center in Altoona, Iowa. Top Skills Details: Cat6 Cat5 Structured cabling, Cable installation, Cable pulling Installation Role / Experience: Their role will be to assist the higher-level techs and the team leads in building out the infrastructure to including: Pulling cable Pulling fiber Learning color codes Learning how to punch down and terminate fiber Installing cable trays and pathways Build server racks More than likely Tech's will start installing cable tray's and building the server racks. Experience with hand tools Experience with Construction (blueprints/building/ect) Experience with (Installing cable trays, pulling cable/fiber, punch down, terminations Work Schedule: The intent is a 5-day, 10-hour work week (7 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday-Friday), though some instances might require a small team for a second shift. Pay: $20-$23/hr Candidates with 2+ years of Fiber experience in a Data Center: $24-27/hr Per diem / Lodging / Travel: Client takes care of lodging 7 days a week Hotel room or Airbnb, candidate has their own room Client covers hourly pay for flight time (flight duration plus one hour) $50/day per diem Experience Level Entry Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Lebanon, Indiana.
