We are seeking experienced Cabler (for Data and Telecommunications) to join our Sydney team!

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE AS A MINIMUM:

  • Must have an ACMA licence (or equivalent) with endorsements of Structured and Fibre Optics.
  • Have proven extensive experience within the electrical and communications fields, specifically working within data centres.
  • The ability to work as part of a team or independently.
  • Are proactive and have problem solving attributes.
  • Are willing to be part of an on-call roster.
  • Have excellent safety awareness and meticulous attention to detail, to maintain a high standard of workmanship.

Responsibilities
  • Assessing and communicating a clear methodology for work activities.
  • Providing clear tasks for each team member on the job. Mentor and coach Cert III Telecommunications apprentices and new technicians / cablers.
  • Cabling and problem solving.
  • Maintaining a high level of workmanship on the worksite.
  • Maintaining technical knowledge and up to date with cabling regulations.
  • Setting up wiring for ICT support and to various appliances.
  • Modify, substitute, and fix defective items, and conduct equipment tests with electronic tools.
  • Interpretation of design drawings and specifications.
  • Completions of timesheets and tracking hours on the job.
  • Maintenance of the company’s tools, equipment, and vehicles, by keeping them clean and in good proper working order.
  • Contribute to the effectiveness of the HSEQ systems to ensure compliance, ongoing improvement, and customer focus throughout day to day work.
  • Assess and adhere to WHS on site.
  • Support of a positive work culture.
  • Management of client concerns and requirements on site.
