We are looking for Cablers (Data and Telecommunications) to join our WA team.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY, YOU MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in cabling and troubleshooting on a major telecommunications network
  • NBN Enable qualification (required)
  • Valid First Aid & CPR certification (required)
  • Construction Induction Card (White Card) (required)
  • Relevant cabling and testing certifications (required)
  • Traffic Management Card (Yellow Card) (preferred)
  • Confined Space and Gas Detection certification (preferred)
  • Working at Heights certification (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications networks
  • Demonstrated “can-do” attitude and proactive approach
  • Valid Australian C Class Driver’s Licence (required)
  • Police Check issued within the last 6 months, with no convictions (required)
  • Willingness to receive annual Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations (required for work in Aged Care sector)
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $76,600.00 – $78,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

·Attaching wires and cables to appliances.
· Installing cabling for telephone, radio, pay TV, and computer transmission.
· Installing telecommunications equipment and appliances such as telephones, switchboards, and data transmission equipment.
· Joining cables and sealing sheaths with lead and thermoplastic.
· Preparing, handling, maintaining hygiene, and terminating ribbon and multi-core fibre for fibre installation.
· Integrating FTTN, FTTB, and FTTC equipment.
·Locating faults in telecommunications equipment using instruments such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, ammeters, and transmission measuring equipment.
· Adjusting, replacing, and repairing faulty items, and testing equipment using electronic instruments.
· Erecting, testing, and maintaining aerial and underground wires and cables, and radio and mobile phone antennae.
· Conducting safety and quality inspections and reporting non-conformances.
· Examining drawings, specifications, and work areas to determine positioning and connections for equipment being installed.
