Safe Release Program Specialist is responsible for assisting potential sponsors to qualify for the release of children to their care. The Safe Release Program Specialist will be joining a team of committed individuals at the St. Frances Cabrini Center for Immigrant Legal Assistance that serves the immigrant and refugee populations in the Greater Houston community. The Safe Release Program Specialist works within a team oriented environment to provide family reunification services to potential sponsors. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented and organized with excellent time management and collaboration skills. What you Deliver Coordinates with sponsors and shelter case managers to schedule fingerprint appointments for sponsors Create electronic file of sponsor in a case management system, conduct the digital fingerprints, and submits the completed information electronically Completes paperwork accurately and in compliance with program standards including notarizing documents as required Makes copies and organizes required documents for client files, digitize and index all client files Ensures that all documents are digitized and filed in an organized manner for quick retrieval and reference daily Ensures that all files are accounted for and properly completed daily Refers clients to Legal Orientation Program for Custodians (LOPC) Counsels sponsors on available social service resources in the area Perform other duties as assigned. Attendance and participation in Cabrini staff, Agency, and Group meetings. Qualifications The Expertise We're Looking For High School Diploma or G.E.D. Two (2) experience working in an office environment or administrative role Bilingual in Spanish in English. Valid Texas Driver’s License The Skills and Assets You Bring, and More Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills, ability to set priorities, multitask, and work under pressure. Proficient in MS Office Suites (Word, Excel, Outlook and Access). Demonstrates multi-cultural skills and sensitivity. Ability to maintain confidential information.
