JOB SUMMARY

The Camp Navigate (CN) CACFP Assistant supports the daily food service operations for CN’s After School Programs during VCSC in school schedule. This position assists with preparing simple meal components, packing, and delivering meals/snacks to two program sites. The assistant works under the supervision of the CACFP Operations Coordinator to ensure meals are handled and delivered safely, according to USDA guidelines.

SKILLS

• Experience in food service, childcare nutrition, or related field preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and transport food safely.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Must pass background checks and drug screening.

• Assists with preparing and packaging meals/snacks for delivery.
• Helps maintain cleanliness and organization of food prep and storage areas.
• Delivers meals/snacks to off-site programs in a safe and timely manner.
• Follows food safety, storage, and transportation guidelines.
• Supports Coordinator with loading/unloading food deliveries.
• Reports shortages, delays, or concerns promptly to Coordinator.
• Maintains accurate delivery logs as requested.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
